Lush and green Andros

Andros, with an area of 374 km², is the second largest island of the Cyclades and due to many sources, streams and even waterfalls it has a lush vegetation. It is a wonderful hiking island. Beach lovers can also indulge themselves, because the rugged coastline offers beautiful beaches, sometimes in hidden bays, where you have the place to yourself. The history of Andros goes back to prehistoric times. In several places remains from ancient times have been excavated and some beautiful churches and monasteries from the Byzantine period are well preserved. Andros has no airport and therefore it is not overrun by tourists. In fact, it is easily accessible. It has a regular ferry connection to and from Rafina on the mainland, not far from the airport of Athens. In short, the island offers something for everyone, and except for the month of August you will find peace and quiet.

Athens is the capital of Greece and has about 745,000 inhabitants. The city is spread over seven hills with the Acropolis in the centre. The highest hill is Lykavittos, from where you have a magnificent view over the city. The history of the city dates back to prehistoric times. The oldest archaeological finds date back to the 6th millennium BCE. In addition to remains from ancient times, there are numerous chapels and churches preserved from the Byzantine period. But Athens has much more to offer than statues, columns, and churches alone. It is a metropolis that is bustling day and night, where each neighbourhood has a specific character, and the population is open, friendly, and hospitable.
The centre is dominated by the Acropolis, which annually attracts many domestic and foreign visitors. Right under the Acropolis is the Plaka, one of the oldest quarters of the city with original houses and narrow streets. We want to show you, besides the well-known attractions, also the lesser-known places of this amazing city.

Chios, the island of mystics and mastic, the birthplace of Homer and the home of a few very wealthy shipowners, located in the Aegean Sea between the islands of Lesbos and Samos. It belongs to the Anatolian islands and lies just off the Turkish coast. The smallest distance between Chios and Turkey does not exceed 6 km. It is a diverse island with opportunities for everyone. Authentic medieval villages and fishing villages, alternating with natural citrus groves, olive trees and of course the unique mastic trees. There are also beautiful beaches to find, and it is worth visiting its capital. Beautiful and rugged Karpathos

Karpathos is an island with beautiful beaches, lovely villages, and unspoilt, rugged nature. It lies between Crete and Rhodes and belongs to the Dodecanese archipelago. The picturesque villages are a bit hidden in the mountains, while Karpathos town is extending around the Vronthi Bay on the east coast of the island. In the northwest you can find the interesting 12th century village of Olympos, which for centuries has been isolated and until 1975, was only accessible by boat, via Diafani. Nowadays it is reachable by car from the south, but the boat is definitely recommended. Here many women still wear their traditional costumes, and it is still common to bake bread and cook in the old communal ovens. Karpathos is an ideal island to explore, in combination with relaxed hours at the beach.
